Hello
I am Alexandra Waugh, a Licensed Professional Counselor serving children, adolescents, young adults, and families in Austin, Texas. I am currently offering a free initial session to the community impacted by the devastating flash flooding in Hunt, Texas. As a former camper and counselor, Camp Mystic holds a special place in my heart and I want to do all I can to help!
My Story
My clinical interests include working with depression, mood and anxiety disorders, relationship difficulties, life transitions, family issues, eating disorders, loss, and more. I use a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities so therapy is tailored to each individual, rather than expecting clients to conform to a single approach.

My goal is to empower my clients and help them discover their potential. I provide a warm, safe space for clients to feel comfortable identifying, exploring, and replacing the problematic thoughts and behaviors that have kept them from living their most valued life. I applaud you for your bravery in taking this next step and look forward to seeing you!
I grew up in Austin, Texas, and have a deep connection to this community. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and completed my graduate education at St. Edward’s University. My personal and professional experiences allow me to bring both clinical expertise and local understanding into my work with clients.
